Why a CNC is used

A plasma cutting torch is a popular equipment for cutting metals for a range of applications. A hand-held plasma torch is ideal for fast cutting sheet metal, metal plates, straps, bolts, pipes, and other materials. For back-gouging weld joints or eliminating poor welds, hand-held plasma torches are an ideal gouging instrument. A hand torch can be used to cut tiny forms from steel plate, but part precision and edge quality are hard to achieve for most metal manufacturing. A "CNC plasma" system is a machine that has a plasma torch and can move it in a computer-directed route. The name "CNC" stands for "Computer Numerical Control," which indicates that a computer is used to control the movements of a machine using numerical codes included in a software.
