What Are the Differences With CNC and Laser Cutting?
CNC Machine
Before we can look at the differences, we need to first understand what each of these devices is. The most evident feature of a CNC cutting machine is that it cuts through direct physical touch. A CNC machine, on the other hand, is automated and follows a pre-programmed course using computer numerical control, unlike the myriad other cutting instruments at your disposal.
Laser Machine
Laser cutters are similar in that they follow a pre-programmed route but differ significantly when it comes to cutting. Instead of using a physical approach, it employs a laser to cut through the plywood, as the name implies. The output of a high-powered laser (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is directed through optics in this method.
